BedandBreakfast.com, the leading online bed and breakfast directory and reservation network worldwide, is pleased to announce the winners of its fifth annual web-based awards program for B&Bs and inns. Since launching the BedandBreakfast.com reviews program almost three years ago, inngoers have submitted nearly 85,000 B&B reviews. The selection criteria for the Best of BedandBreakfast.com Awards included both quantitative and qualitative analysis of the independently posted reviews on BedandBreakfast.com.

The Best of BedandBreakfast.com Award winners are not ranked but are listed alphabetically by state or country within each category. Themes and categories reflect prevalent comments from each winner’s reviews. Reviewers are anonymous on BedandBreakfast.com; some review excerpts are quoted below:

The J Patrick House, Cambria, CA: “Loved the hospitality of our hostess, and enjoyed talking with John, the owner. The room was cozy, bright, and the bed unbelievably comfortable. The real wood-burning fireplace was a wonderful touch. The homemade cookies and cold milk were a perfect nightcap. Will definitely return.”

Napa Old World Inn, Napa, CA: “Our online search turned up many B&Bs that looked old-fashioned, with bedrooms reminiscent of a grandmother's guest room (dolls? lace?) -- not our idea of romantic. The Old World Inn has an updated B&B feel with tasteful decor, high quality and modern. The bed was divine with crisp sheets, fluffy comforters, soft pillows; the bathroom had luxurious products and plush towels. The staff is friendly but not 'in your face.' And the brownies placed out at night - to die for!”

Addison on Amelia, Fernandina Beach, FL: “Wonderful place to stay. Outstanding food! Beautiful rooms. Walking distance to downtown area and close to the beach.”

Americus Garden Inn, Americus, GA: "I must say it exceeded my expectations. Susan and her husband Kim were fantastic. The best service we have ever gotten at a B&B.”

The Queen Anne B&B, Natchitoches, LA: “Very private and exactly as advertised....maybe even better! The Garden Room turned out to be a fabulous choice. We even got a peek at three other rooms and still loved ours best! Robert is wonderful and the food is excellent. He even shared some recipes. Toured other area B&Bs and this is one of the best (in our opinion).”

Sobotta Manor Bed and Breakfast, Mount Airy, NC: “Everything exceeded our expectations, including a charming and most gracious hostess, a beautifully presented breakfast and a lovely room with a view.”

Pilot Knob B&B, Pilot Mountain, NC: “We only live two hours away so it was a great little one- night out-of-town trip. The cabins were perfect, rustic and cozy. The fact that they are all separate cabins, and therefore a little more private, is a big plus.”

The Barn Inn Bed & Breakfast, Millersburg, OH: “We reserved one of the smaller rooms but still found it very roomy; the bed was comfortable, and everything was neat as a pin. Each room opens out to the back deck so we were able to enjoy the pleasant evenings on the ‘back porch.’ The wireless internet speed was very fast. Each morning brought a hearty breakfast, and the sausage was amazing. And there were always cakes, muffins, or cookies for snacks each evening. Every morning after breakfast Loretta would tell us about great little places to go in Amish country. Neat places and people we would never have found on our own.”

Inn Above Onion Creek, Kyle, TX: “I expected a nice place, but I was surprised at the luxurious, yet rustic, surroundings. The views of the Hill Country are breathtaking… The food was fabulous and the spa treatments were superb.”

Rabbit Hill Inn, Lower Waterford, VT: “The service and dining beats any Manhattan restaurant or hotel by far! When we arrived at Rabbit Hill, the innkeeper told us that we would find that ’time slows down here.’ To our astonishment, we found that to be absolutely true. If you like a quiet, romantic getaway in a quaint location with a friendly, professional staff, this is simply the best.”
